So for this week's quote, I got it from The Iron Queen, the third book in the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa. Now, I dunno with you guys, but I freaking adore this series Need proof? Here's my 5 star review of The Iron King, 6 star review of the Iron Queen, and 6 star review of The Iron Knight.

So here's my quote:
Ash rose, hesitated, as if fighting the compulsion to obey. “I will always be your knight, Meghan Chase,” he whispered in a strained voice, as if every moment he remained was painful to him. “And I swear, if there is a way for us to be together, I will find it. No matter how long it takes. If I have to chase your soul to the ends of eternity, I won’t stop until I find you, I promise.”
*melts into a puddle of goo* I love this quote of Ash. So utterly sweet. So heartbreaking. But the best part? He manages to fulfill his promise. Not kidding- her literally went to the ends of the Earth. For Meghan. Seriously, you MUST read this if you haven't yet.

And if you're interested in knowing more...

My name is Meghan Chase.
I thought it was over. That my time with the fey, the impossible choices I had to make, the sacrifices of those I loved, was behind me. But a storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Drag me away from the banished prince who's sworn to stand by my side. Drag me into the core of conflict so powerful, I'm not sure anyone can survive it.
This time, there will be no turning back.
Oooh! And this time, I actually didn't pick a funny or sarcastic quote! Aren't you proud of me? :D

  1. But I LOVE funny or sarcastic quotes. Nevertheless I'm a total romance lover, too, so I totally get why you love that quote so much. It's really cute, especially as Ash seems to be so serious about what he is saying. The whole story of the book sounds wonderful, too, I think I'm going to check out the first book of the series :)

I struggled a bit with the first book in this series but it sounds like I might give the second one a try.

    1. Well, I do too, but snarky's kinda more of my thing! :)

The series keep on getting better- at least, for me. You never know, you might like it!

    1. Oh yeah, I read your rants on Meghan on your blog. :D It's okay, we all have different tastes in books!

Heh, well, I think I'm gonna go with funny again next week! They're more of my thing. ;) Enjoy you week as well!

    2. Oh no! I always feel so horrible when people, who liked the books, read my rants, because.. Well, I love when people like books that I do not. (Except for.. I don't know. Mein Kampf. I won't like people who like that piece of crap.) But I've read a few rants of people I usually respect and theirs made me feel really horrible like I don't have any taste in books or like I'm a horrible person for enjoying these books etc. >_<' And now I'm really afraid that my reviews of some books might make other people feel like this, too. (Exceptions are The House of Night books. If you read my review, liked the book and don't feel insulted, then I did something wrong, I suppose. oo XD)

And yay! I mean, I like serious quotes, but I also like funny ones. But I sort of expected something funny when I came here and then, bam, Ash. XD

    3. Oh, it's okay. Really. :D And don't worry, I've never even heard of Mein Kampf, so there's zero chances of me liking that! :P

And don't feel like that! I mean, it IS a review after all- you're just writing out honest opinion! When I read a negative review of a book I enjoyed, I don't feel horrible about it- instead, I get confused on why that person couldn't enjoy the book I loved. And I go, 'well, it's their loss.'

Oooh- HON. Ugh. I stopped in the middle of the 3rd book I think. I couldn't stand Zoey or the plot. So yeah, we're on the same ground here. Honestly can't understand why they're so freaking popular. It was just so..... ugh.

Heh, Ash has that effect on people. :P But yeah, expect funny next week! :D I can't stand doing serious quotes all the time!

  5. I have never read any Julie Kagawa books, but a lot of people have told me they're good.
And I always love it when someone has a completely different take on a book than I did. Helps me see it in a whole new way!
