The Book I'm Most Thankful for...

Books are a huge part of my life. Yup, there's no denying that life without books would be boring! And, Beth Revis, the author of Across the Universe, is having this amazing giveaway in thanks of good books. (Click the pic above to be redirected to the post.) So basically, you pick one book you're thankful for, and explain why.

Most of the other participants probably picked some of the most buzzed about YA books of this year, or even old favorites! Harry Potter, Twilight, The Mortal Instruments, The Hunger Games... But mine is totally unique. And so I present to you.....

Yes, I am thankful for a Nancy Drew book. Because this book started it all. This was the very first novel I had read and loved. What started as one book became two, then three, then a stack of books. Then I started collecting the series. Then I had my first bookshelf, then my second... Then I moved on to the Hardy Boys. Then to other children's books. (I was around 8 at that time, I think.) I moved on to YA about three years after, and that's when my bookshelves became really packed...

... and I am now the proud owner of four bookshelves! :D (I still have about 2 unassembled ones!) So yeah, I'm thankful for the Clue of the Broken Locket, because if it weren't for that book, I wouldn't be here right now. I wouldn't be reading books for fun, and I wouldn't be blogging. And that thought scares me.

So enough about me. What book are you most thankful for?

  1. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. Nancy Drew is timeless. If I ever have a little girl, I'm buying ALL the Nancy Drew books for her, and then I'm going to pray pray pray that she loves them. :)

  2. @loritayseastep- Yup, I totally agree! :D I seriously collected most of the Nancy Drew books- there's just a few I lack! I really did read all of the books- I did everything I could, bought, borrowed from friends, the library... :P Good luck, and I hope that when you have a little girl, she loves them too!

Don't just sit there with your mouth hanging open. Flies will get in. Why don't you leave a comment instead and allow me to get a peek of those thoughts running in that brain of yours?
