Top Ten Books I Had Strong Emotions Over

 10. 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher
Okay, so this is probably the only contemporary book I've read- and even enjoyed. I wouldn't exactly say that it made me cry or anything- more of disturbed. The idea that a teen girl about my age killing herself because of little stuff happening in life which she couldn't handle...
This was an eye opener.

9. The Mediator #6- Heaven Sent by Meg Cabot
Jesse. *swoon*
Quick little fact: Jesse de Silva, the sexy Latino ghost in tbe Mediator, was the first ever fictional crush of mine. And he can kick Edward Cullen's ass anytime.

Anyway... I loved this book. I think I first read the series 5 years ago, but I still can't get enough of it. In fact, I reread the entire series last month in spite of my really large TBR pile. But yeah, the last book was soo good, and the whole time, I kept wishing for Suze and Jesse's happy ending. This is one old series, but I definitely recommend it! I definitely fell in love with this book, and this will remain one of my all time favorites.

8. Fearless FBI #4- Naked Eye by Francine Pascal
Its been about 3 years since I read this, but yeah, the ending sucker punched me. If you've read this, then you'll see what I'm talking about. I remember going shell shocked at what I read, and going through denial. Ugh. Francine Pascal, I was not happy with that ending.

7. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling
I
t's the end of the amazing series. Beloved characters from the very start die. How can this book not affect you?!? Plus that amazing twist at the end... Brilliant book!

6. Nevermore by Kelly Creagh

This book... This is another jaw dropping WOW. The ending keeps you up all night, and I literally could not put it down until I finished it! But what really made me sooo mad was that ending! Ahh, that terrible cliffhanger!!! Not to mention the two year wait!

That is enough to kill a girl, I tell you.

5. Wildefire by Karsten Knight
Okay, this was the last book I added. I needed one more book to make it ten. Now that I think about it, I did experience "intense emotion". The last sentence literally made it a cliffie, and the last few chapters were mindblowing!

4. The Maze Runner #3- The Death Cure by James Dashner
This was one freaking good book. All those twists and turns... And all those deaths! Seriously, the deaths alone are enough to send you reeling. So yeah, major emotion for this book.

3. Soul Screamers #5- If I Die by Rachel Vincent
Do I have to say again just how much I loved this book? If you've read my review of it, then you'll see why I'm so obsessed with this book! And that ending- Argh!!! It wasn't a cliffie, thank God for that, but damm, did that ending leave me wanting more!

2. Gone Series by Michael Grant
This series is a MUST read. Now this book made me feel extreme emotions. Easily one of the most violent and heart wrenching books I have ever read. To think that teens are running around- without any adults- that's one scary world, I tell you. And gosh, that last line in Plague?!? I would do anything to read Fear now.

1. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Okay, reading this book was an emotional roller coaster. Reading the series was times ten the emotion. Suspense, action, tons of deaths... One scene makes you cry, another makes you laugh, others make you bite your nails in terror... Reading this series made me experience one hell of an intense emotional ride!

Hmm... I think if I read more contemporaries compared to paranormal or action books, I'm thinking the list would be longer. Or if I'd read more new releases. But then since a.) I'm busy and b.) where I live, our bookstores suck, then good luck to me with that. :P

So what were your picks? Leave a comment below with a link and I'll check it out! :)

  1. Alright, one more comment and I'll be done I promise.

Nevermore- I loved this book the characters and the whole story line, and the little bits about Poe were interesting as well. I' can't wait for the 2nd one.

13 reasons why- another book on my shelf I haven't read. I think these type of books are a lot harder for me to read for some reason.

And yessss, so glad to have found another Nevermore fan! But Enshadowed comes out in August, and the wait is killing me!!!

13 Reasons why was an okay read. Not exactly a top favorite, but a good one. :) But like I said, read Gone first. Pure awesomeness.
