2012 Stand Alone Reading Challenge

So this year, I've decided to join the 2012 Standalone Reading Challenge hosted by Icey Books and I Like These Books. It sounds like a lot of fun, and like a good motivation to read more!

So some quick info:

Why a Standalone Reading Challenge?
There's a challenge for Debuts, there's a challenge for Sophomores, why not a challenge for Standalones?

So what's the challenge?
To read 15 standalone YA books in 2012!

What books count towards the 2012 Standalone Reading Challenge?
Any Young Adult standalone book that is released between December 27, 2011 and December 31, 2012. Any format (paperback, hardcover, e-book, ARC) counts, but they must be read during the year 2012.

Where can I find out which books can be read for the SARC?
We have started a list for you HERE. Please note, this list is public and won't be 100% accurate. We will try to keep it updated as best as we can. If you know of any standalones we may have missed, please feel free to add to this list.

Here's a list of 15 books that I'm planning to read for this event. Click them to go to their Goodreads page.

Wish me luck in completing the challenge! :D

  1. Great list! Thanks for joining the SARC! Be sure to join the goodreads group if you haven't already :)

  2. Is a stand alone novel one that won't have a sequel? I was pretty sure Something Strange and Deadly was going to have future installemnts. *confused*

These books loook good! I really want to read Above, Harbinger, and Fracture. :)

  3. TOUCHED is way cool. Good luck on your challenge.

  4. @Britta- Thanks! SARC sounds like a lotta fun! :)

@Nausicaa- Really? Oops. Thanks so much for the heads up! :D

@RaShelle- I know right? So excited to read it! And thank you!

  5. I have harbinger and I'm suppose to be getting fracture soon for my blog tour, and all the others sound really awesome too.

I noticed you left me a comment. I haven't really been doing a lot to my site really because I'm kind of in a reading slump I guess you could say I have like 3 or 4 I'm reading and they're not holding my attention. Plus, I've been hanging out with the new BF.

    1. Harbinger sounds creepy! I'm actually reading Fracture right now, and its okay.

Oh, reading slump? That sucks! Hope you get back into your reading zone soon! :D

  6. I'm very excited to read Destiny's Fire. I love Egyptian history and the cover makes it look a bit steampunky. :D Good luck on your challenge!

    1. Me too! :D Thanks, good luck as well! :)

Don't just sit there with your mouth hanging open. Flies will get in. Why don't you leave a comment instead and allow me to get a peek of those thoughts running in that brain of yours?
